Dark Energy and Dark Matter are the most mysterious things in the study of science. Till today no one has even confirmed what exactly are those two and who they are shaping our universe and the study of the cosmology.
Roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy and 27% is dark matter. The rest everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments all normal matter makes up to less than 5% of the universe. Dark energy and dark matter are two mysterious phenomena in astrophysics that have been observed indirectly but have not yet been directly detected or fully understood what they are?

In astronomy, Dark Matter is defined as an invisible and hypothetical form of matter that does not interact with light or other electromagnetic radiation, which is why it is called “Dark”. It makes up about 27% of the total mass energy in the known universe, whereas ordinary matter (the matter that stars, planets, and we are made of) makes up only about 5%. Dark matter exists because of its gravitational effects on visible matter, such as stars in galaxies and galaxy clusters, and the large-scale structure of the cosmos can be seen. Scientists believe that dark matter interact with ordinary matter only through gravity.

Dark energy is other mystery of the universe and no one is sure what is it. Scientists think that the expansion of the universe is accelerating due to this dark energy. Similarly, Dark Matter has a strong gravitational effect that pulls matter together. Dark energy has a repulsive effect that causes the universe to expand rapidly. Scientists believe that dark energy makes up around 68% of the total mass energy of the universe. It is currently not well defined, and scientists are trying different theories to explain it.
Dark Matter and Dark Energy are actively researched in modern astrophysics. Cosmologists are trying very hard for better understanding their properties and the role they play in shaping and understanding the universe as we know it today.

but no one has seen and detected it so still mystery. thank you the mirror for such valuable information

it so mystery that roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest – everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter – adds up to less than 5% of the universe. What is there is not dark energy and dark matter, that would even more mystery. well done the mirror team

Very informative article!
